Hatchery B val and i walked to hatchery B for our shift at noon. when we got there, i took off my band aid because i really wanted my toe to scab. i took the first look at the nests 10 minutes into our shift. i didn't want to hit my toe with my crocs so i only wore one. the sand was so hot, i was afraid i would burn my soles. i stepped on something sharp. when i sat back in my chair, i had white welts on my big toe. then my toe turned big and red. i was very worried i wouldn't even be able to walk home. i took two tablets of benadryl and literally passed out for 6 hours. i tried to stay up for chris because he was going to bring us out lunch, but i couldn't. he woke me up with a big shout. i remember trying to finish my lunch but it was so hard. i had to take a break three times before i ate it all. i set up two chairs to lie down on (when we were home, Joke tried to mimic what i did. i snapped a picture before she got up). i vaguely remember people passing by for the afternoon activity. then all of a sudden, it was 6pm and our shift was over. it was only on our walk home that i began to wake up.
Pura Vida and Cocos land after dinner we went to the restaurant for milkshakes. the cook had left for the bar, so we just sat around the table to talk. after a while, we headed for the bar. however, only Janek, val and i stayed because the others were tired and found the music too loud. Janek left for his shift at 10:30pm. i went to lie in the hammock and fell in love with it. the bar is open and i could see the stars and random horses running by. after a while, i went to talk to marvin so val could use the hammock. i played with a kitty wandering around the bar until it fell asleep on marvin's lap. at midnight, anibal and marvin walked us home. marvin went to bed and ani went back to work at the bar.
