Dear Henry,

i have been so fortunate to know you. there are so many things to thank you for: making sure we got to the hostel safely, searching around San Jose for 2 hours to look for a guitar, traveling all the way to Gandoca with us and packing a lunch for us too. i want to especially thank you for introducing me to Sandra. she has been like a mother to me. i plan to come to Costa Rica next year and i hope we can meet again.

all the best, Heidi

Dear Janek,

thank you for pulling me out of the mud in manzanillo, playing frisbee with me (even though i sucked), teasing each other and all those talks in the kitchen and by the beach. i would not have gone to Bocas, Cahuita and white water rafting if i didn't meet you. i also would not have met josh! i´m glad i got along with you so well. i hope i can visit you and ride in your VW van.

have fun in the rest of Costa Rica, Heidi

P.S. you should keep an extra pair of flip flops in your bag.

Dear Joke,

Happy 19th birthday! you take amazing pictures and the best tanning partner i could have. i loved spending time with you and Sandra to learn spanish. keep practicing spanish. when i visit you in Europe, the 3 of us can have our own language! thank you for teaching me some German, i hope you don´t forget those Chinese words. i´ll always remember our trip to Bocas, white water rafting, Cahuita. and the jungle walk to Manzanillo.

travel safe, Heidi

Dear Megan,

i think it´s wonderful that you came back to visit Sandra. i hope to have the same opportunity. thank you for helping me translate all my goodbye notes, taking me to the grocery store, telling me random facts and how Gandoca used to be. i wish you luck at vet school, i´m sure you´ll rock at it.

all the best, Heidi

Dear Ashley,

i´ll never forget that frog i thought was an ornament! i´m really glad that Megan came back to Sandra´s house and I got to meet you. it was fun to get to know you. i really enjoyed shopping at the supermarket, walking around the market and our dinner at Quiznos.

have a safe trip home, Heidi
