A DOLLAR A DAY

and then it was light i got bit by sandflies (i thought you only found them in the sand) in the hammock. we stayed at the bar until closing at 5am. then Ilona came home with us and Anibal made us rice for breakfast. i went to bed and skipped out on breakfast with the rest of the house because i had a tummy ache. i woke up at 10 because Sandra said my mom called twice. i tried to call back, but i got the answering machine. i stayed in the kitchen to talk to Janek and Joke. They had hatchery duty at noon. Aine and I planned to visit them in the afternoon. right before our lunch, i couldn't stay up anymore. i napped for 20 minutes. for lunch, we had chicken burger patties, cucumber and tomato salad, and french fries. i went back to bed after lunch. it started to rain so we decided not to visit Joke and Janek just yet. At 4:30, Joke came back because she was freezing from being in the rain for 2 hours. we tried to make our own tea, but we didn't know how to light the stove. Fortunately, Sandra came back to the kitchen and made us tea and crackers with strawberry jame. we practiced our spanish and Sandra taught me how to make an anklet (because i liked the one she made for Asdrubal). Joke and I helped her with dinner. we had omelets, rice and beans. After eating, we moved to the next table to play PIT. I was going to go to bed early so i could wear my contacts for longer, but we played cheat till 9:30 pm. it was still raining when i fell asleep. and then it was dark.
